Precision Jet Cutting

Precision jet cutting is a water jet cutting technique so powerful that it removes root intrusions, blockades, calcium and concrete from inside pipelines. Water pressures are continuously adjusted to the material from 7,250 psi root control up to 32,000 psi trenchless concrete removal without damaging pipe surfaces and lateral connections.. By observing the jetting with the built-in camera, the water blast can be aimed precisely at the blockages.

The SR Series base robot features two high-pressure precision jet cutting equipment modules: the WJ160 for 8″-20″ mainline pipes and the WJ180 ultra-high pressure module for 8″ – 40″ mainline pipes. Remove FOG, sludge, roots and other deposits with “just” water – and with the WJ180, even extremely hard materials such as calcium or concrete can be removed and flushed.

WJ160 Water Jet Cutting

The WJ160 precision jet cutting equipment removes different stoppages and deposits from 7” to 14” diameter pipes using water pressures up to 15,000 psi. The water pressure is continuously adjusted to materials: fats, oils, greases, sand, sludge, small roots and other deposits are jetted away with pressures up to 4,500 psi. Water pressures up to 15,000 psi eliminate all root intrusions: first, by jetting away the dirt and small root branches; then, the water blast cuts off the main root where it enters the pipe until nothing but a perfectly clean and undamaged pipe remains.

The camera lens and high-powered LEDs are protected by sapphire glass and are mounted beside the jet nozzle on the module, at the front of the equipment.

WJ180 Ultra High Pressure Jet Cutting

The WJ180 precision jet cutting equipment is the fastest option for removing tree roots and cleaning and scuffing pipelines before relining for better bonding of materials. The WJ180 is used in 8” - 40” pipe diameters and removes extremely hard calcium and concrete with ultra high pressures up to 30,000 psi. The WJ180 has a universal nozzle holder on the front with a camera and two 1200 Lumen high-power LEDs positioned behind the nozzle.

Water pressures are continuously adjusted to the materials: fats, oils, greases, sand, sludge and root balls are removed extremely fast with a rotary nozzle up to 15,000 psi. Ultra high pressure water jets up to 30,000 psi, removes and cuts hard plastics, clay, cement and even concrete with swift precision, without damaging the pipe surface.

The water blast cuts holes in cement, calcium and concrete. Then, pressures rise inside these holes until the material breaks loose from the pipe surface. Piece by piece, up to 3’ of a fully concrete-blocked pipe can be cleared within one hour until nothing but a perfectly cleaned and undamaged pipe remains.
